Research has consequences
Know who you'll research with.
Before you join a lab, see how it works: what it publishes, who pays for it, how it treats students, and whether its work feeds the military. Every statement links to its source.
What you see before you say yes
Research path
What they publish, how their topics changed, who they work with, and who funds them.
Mentorship signals
Whether early-career co-authors lead papers and go on to work on their own.
Military and dual-use links
Defence funders, military partners, and dual-use topics, with the same rule for every country.
Experience reviews
What people who worked with them say. Verified, moderated, and shown only once five exist.
We are not neutral about how research is used
A research career is a series of choices: whose money to take, whose name goes first, what the work will be used for. Students deserve to make those choices with open eyes. So we take a side, and we hold ourselves to a strict standard of evidence while doing it.
- Evidence, not accusationsEvery statement links to a public record: a DOI, a funder record, an affiliation.
- One rule for everyoneThe same criteria for every country, institution, and person. No exceptions in either direction.
- Right of replyResearchers can correct errors and publish a response next to what we show.
- No surveillanceWe look at professional work only. No private accounts, beliefs, photos, or family.
